About chapter 6
I would try to write about chapter 7 "Conflict" in the case of my section, but we have never experienced some conflicts so I will write about chapter 6 "Core Team Value" :D
Of course we do not have hierarchy like Shacleton, so we do not have some conflicts among my section.
As you know, we are busy to prepare for ICU festival and as a leader, I want to inform my sectionmates of anything about ICU festival as much as possible. However, not always all of us can meet and do that. I know that they are now busy not only to prepare the shop but olso to prepare for other community's shop or to do a lot of other things, so sometimes I can not inform them of our progress. But I do not care about it because we have a particular thought among us, which is "@105" Maybe you do not understand what it means. Since we were freshmen, all of section AK has spent time at 105 in honkan. We had lunch there together, we talked anything there together and we share a lot of things there together, and these do not change now. When I have something to inform them, if I go to 105, they are there. We can share information.
I feel I digressed into a story of our section, so I have to put back :D
It is important for organizing people to minimize states differences. Even if I am a leader of our section for ICU festival shop, I want to be the same position as the others. "I am a leader, so you have to obey me" This is extremely instance but I hate to be that. Exactly I have to lead them, however, I want to progress with them.
We have the confidence that my sectionmates are especially close friends. However we do not forget to respect and have courtesy each other. "Courtesy should be exercised even among intimate friends." This sentense is Japanese proverbial phrase. I like it. We can cherish each member's personal space and have a good relationship :)
Now we will be busier to prepare for our shop than before. As a leader, I have to lead my sectionmates on the same position as possible and have courtesy for each of them.
Hi Kanako,
ReplyDeleteI think it is great that you are not having conflict with your festival shop. Perhaps that is because of your leadership style of being like the other members without status differences.
I also like the @105 idea, which must be partly responsible for the unity of your group.
Ken
I like your stance of leading team, trying to be the same position with other members.
ReplyDeleteand I envy you a little bit because now I rarely have the chance to meet my section members.
I know it's so hard because I was the leader of ICU festival in my section last year.
I hope you success!
