The Dynamic You-Writing Assignment 3

About chapter 4

I know that I need the stamina every time I do something, however, this chapter gave me not the importance of having the stamina but the importance of how to use it. Until I read this chapter, I thought I have to care about others first of all when I organize people. When I am a leader, the others follow such me. So I do not want them to be in trouble and to be confused. If it is possible, I want to do everything because I have much stamina comparatively. However this thought is a little different.

For example, now I am a leader of my section for ICU festival. I have to attend the meeting, submit any documents by the due, count the money to need and so on. Exactly I have a lot of other things to do such as homework, part-time job and so on, but I can do them by myself for the moment. Sometimes I feel tired but that is not much of tiredness or strain. I am thankful that my mother bore me with much stamina :)

But I may have to change my mind now. For organiging people and accomplishing something with them, it does not secceed by individual. Indeed I know my sectionmates said me that they corporate with me. I tried, however,  to do all because I do not want to task them, although they help me. As Shackleton, caring about not himself but others is one way to organize people, but if a leader lost his stamina and morale at all, the organization will collapses. To be a good leader is essential to care about himself and not to do all alone. Sectionmates is a team, so I have to use my stamina for them and ME.

When I need to vent, I want to deal with the problem by myself and I do not want someone to be confused because of my worries. As I wrote previous assinghment, laughing makes me positive and makes my stamina! When I have made a significant mistake, of course I reflect it and try to find what to do better next, and I laugh thoroughly before I regret  it. I have to reflect a mistake, but do not have to regret it.

I learnt the way to use my stamina through chapter 4. As a good leader, it is important for me to understand my limit. And I wrote that I want to deal with the problem by myself without a outlet, but I try to find my Wild or my Worsley :)

  1. Hi Kanako,

Thanks for your posting, and I really like what you say about how, "Sectionmates is a team, so I have to use my stamina for them and ME." You are so right, and from Chapter 5 you can apply the idea that as a team, "You live or die together."

And good luck with finding your own Wild or Worsley.

  2. Hi Kanako,
I can imagine how hard it would be like to get all your sectionmates together and work as a leader. As you said, I think it's important to keep up your stamina so share your work as much as you can:) Don't try hard too much until you get sick or stress out! Hope your team will be successful at the festival!
