The Dynamic You-Writing Assignment 1

I define that my long-term vision is the ultimate goal that I want to achieve, and short-term goals are the steps to achieve my long-term vision.
For example, when I want to hold a section party and one of my section mate’s birthday is coming, I would like to please him by being celebrated by section mates.
First of all, I plan a section party. I provide some possible dates and promote attendances as many as possible, and I send e-mail to my section mates. I know, however, some people don’t response, so I ask them directly later. When I do that, if I give the name who is the best friend with him as a participant to the party, attendance will increase.
After check attendance, preparation begins. Our section party is usually held in the apartment where a section mate lives alone. I ask him to use there and maybe he permits to use his room. After that, I inform section mates except the birthday person that we will surprise him by celebrating his birthday. It is impossible for me to prepare all, so I give them the role such as the role to buy a birthday cake secretly, to cook, to buy alcohol, to buy snacks and so on considering their characteristics and abilities.
On the very day of a section party, I preside over it. As we enjoy the party and do eye contacts with section mates except the birthday person. One of them pretends to go to toilet. He prepares the birthday cake, turn the light off and sing a birthday song together. The celebration surprises him, and my plan is successful.
Such as getting as many section mates as possible to attend, giving the roles for each person and making the birthday person surprised, these are short-term goals to accomplishing celebration of one of section mate’s birthday at a section party. In each short-term goal, there are a lot of actions. When I succeed some actions, I achieve a short-term goal. When I achieve some short-term goals, my long-term vision is accomplished. (347words)

  1. Hi Kanako,

What a great way to gain real-world experience of organizing people. I have always felt there is a direct relationship between the people who organize such events in college and later success in life.

    Keep up the good work!

  2. Hi, Kanako!
How's the event of your cram school going? I hope it will succeed :)

Anyway, I am impressed what you did for section mate's B-day! I guess it's hard to gather people and to prepare the party. But we can have fun by doing that, right?:D
Well, I knew you're a good entertainer from high-school days!

    Good luck for the event♡
